Ice Mom’s Moving from Blogspot to IceMom.net!

No, really, it’s true! I’ve been working hard to get everything in order for the move. What’s cool is that Ice Coach and Ice Girl want to come with me!

Here’s how the conversation went. I told Ice Girl that I was finally buying my own domain so I would have more control over the blog, so it would look more professional, and well, to sell some ads.

You remember, right? Ice Dad and I sat down and ran the numbers on figure skating. They’re not pretty.

But, it’s given me a good kick in the pants to post more often to my blog and to try to put effort into it. Who knows? Maybe it will really take off.

Anyway, Ice Girl said, “I want one.” Want one what? “I want a blog.”

Oh.

I tell you: I hesitated. That kid has a lot on her plate. But, then, I remembered the state of my Ice Mom InBox. I could really use the help. Plus, I thought it would be fun for people to see figure skating from the figure skater’s perspective. It’s also good for figure skaters to have a place to exchange ideas, too. They’re kind of a lonely group, those figure skaters.

I told Ice Coach of the plan. “I want one,” she said. Want one what? “I want a blog.”

I didn’t hesitate at all. I said awesome and hooked them both up with domain names that night. We shopped around for themes and now we’re working hard to load them up with posts. We’ve come up with some fun contests, too.

I’ll keep you up to date on my progress with the blog. We hope to launch everything on Saturday, April 3.
